Mid-market Agency, 30 people

Headline outcome
-40%
time on prospecting

Design-led B2B services agency. Account leads were spending two days a week researching and writing first-touch outreach. We installed the agent stack inside their org and clawed back the calendar.

SITUATION

Where they were.

Longshore is a 30-person agency selling brand + product design retainers. The five account leads each ran their own outbound — 8-10 hours a week on Apollo + Notion + Gmail. Quality of personalization varied wildly. Founder wanted a system that produced first-touches in a consistent voice without hiring an SDR.

WHAT WE BUILT

The install, line by line.

Same agent stack as every install. Variations were sender pool size, ICP brief, and the CRM sync target.
  1. 01Single install hosting one shared sender pool across five named senders (each lead retained their own inbox identity).
  2. 02Copywriter agent trained on the founder's five highest-converting outbound emails from the last 18 months.
  3. 03Lead-list agent pulling from a curated ICP — fintech CMOs, Series-B-to-C consumer brands, late-stage health.
  4. 04Slack workflow that lets a lead approve, edit, or reject a draft from the message itself.
  5. 05CRM sync writing reply classifications back into Attio so the leads work from a single pipeline view.

WHAT CHANGED

The second-order effects.

Beyond the headline number — the things that compounded once the agent stack started carrying load.
Account leads dropped from 9 hrs/wk to 5.5 hrs/wk on prospecting (a 40% reclaim).
First-touch reply rate held steady at 12-14% — the agent matches the founder's voice well enough that prospects can't tell.
Founder no longer reviews outbound copy in real-time. Bi-weekly review of agent output is sufficient.
Two retainers closed in the first 90 days that were directly traceable to the new system.
FROM THE OPERATOR
I stopped reviewing copy. My time is back on client work. That alone paid for the install.

WHAT'S NEXT

The roadmap from here.

We're working with the team on a separate sender pool for a new vertical they want to test (CFO outbound at PE-backed mid-market). Same install, second sender pool with its own warming cycle.

Name anonymized pending the customer's logo sign-off. Metrics are accurate to within 5% of the install's actual numbers. Source data lives in the install's dashboard; we can share it under NDA on request.

Twenty minutes. We'll tell you, honestly, whether an install is the right call right now — or whether you should keep renting an agency for another quarter.
